The Harvey, Eisner, and YALSA award-winning series returns this October.
Dark Horse’s Umbrella Academy is back with a third series this October.
The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion reunites series creator Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) with artist Gabriel Bá (Neil Gaiman’s How to Talk to Girls at Parties) for the third series of the Harvey, Eisner, and YALSA award-winning comic, that sees the characters scattered after the death of Sir Reginald Hargreeves. The official description reads:
“Five is a hired gun, Kraken is stalking big game, Rumor is dealing with the wreckage of her marriage, a rotund Spaceboy runs around the streets of Tokyo, Vanya continues her physical therapy after being shot in the head—and no one wants to even mention Seance until issue #2.”
Way and Bá will be joined by colorist Nick Filardi (The Victories) and letterer Nate Piekos (Stranger Things).
In the run up to the release of Hotel Oblivion, Dark Horse will be featuring exclusive Umbrella Academy-themed enamel pins and t-shirts at San Diego Comic-Con next week. The pins feature series’ villains Hazel and Cha Cha, and the run of 1,000 will be going for $10 a pop. The Umbrella Academy crest t-shirts will be limited to 400 and you can grab one for $25.
The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion will be comprised of seven issues, with the first one hitting shelves on October 3, 2018.
A Netflix Umbrella Academy adaptation is set to debut later this year.
Dark Horse also recently announced it will be making high-end collectibles. Check out a first look at their upcoming line in the gallery below.
